“Ingrid Goes West” director Matt Spicer joined the film’s stars Elizabeth Olsen, O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Aubrey Plaza in the Variety Studio presented by Orville Redenbacher’s, at the Sundance Film Festival.
There, Olsen talked about how she created her character, Taylor Sloane, by making a fake Instagram account.
“We created a fake Taylor Sloane account so I could practice taking photos and understanding what Valencia is, she said, referring to the Instagram filter. “One of my best friends — I stole her bio… she was flattered, and she knew it was used in irony.”
