America’s Got Talent is officially back! Now that AGT is back for its 19th season on NBC, there’s been a huge twist to the show itself. Instead of 4 or 5 Golden Buzzers, this season will feature 9. Malambo dance group LEGION is among the recipients of the coveted Golden Buzzer.

Meet Sofia Vergara’s Golden Buzzer Dance Group Legión Malambo

2024 is surely set to be another year of dance for America’s Got Talent. Last season, AGT saw multiple dance groups in the Finale. These groups included Avantgardey, Murmuration, and Chibi Unity. Both Murmuration and Chibi Unity were Golden Buzzer recipients. In 2022, phenomenal dance group, The Mayyas won the show as a whole.

According to Legión Malambo’s YouTube biography, the Argentinean group is “an elite body of warriors of life, of gladiators, who, together, work hard against the wind and against the current to achieve their goals and fulfill their dreams without ever losing faith, love and passion.” The group is comprised of six men and two women aged between 23 and 33. Group members include Fabian Serna, Matias Sanchez Gajo, Marina Villalba, Pablo Enriquez, Julieta Belatti, Leando Nicolas Robles, Nicolas Rivas and Leandro Suarez.

As for their type of dance, the group describes the Malambo as “a game of legs, knees, ankles, posture, and balance. It is a perpetual challenge to gravity because just by looking at it, the Malambo makes you fly into the infinite nights of the Argentine pampas to the rhythm of the guittarreadas, feeling the heat of the crackling of the fire on your skin.”

This specific group has been seen on television before, as they’ve taken part in Italian competition show, Tu Si Que Vales. According to their YouTube channel, they were featured on Tu Si Que Vales in 2017 and 2018.
