The Masked Singer is returning to FOX this fall for its sixth season. Although the highly anticipated season does not have a premiere date yet, FOX released a new preview for the season filled with clues.
Season five of The Masked Singer ended on May 26 with the victory of “Piglet” also known as Nick Lachey. Ever since this finale, fans have been DYING to know when the next season will air.
Hamster? Banana Split? Magician? All Possible Mask Hints
The Masked Singer‘s new preview left us with a few questions, but it also brought us excitement for the new season. They’re already giving us hints as to what this season’s acts will be!
The preview for the new season features host Nick Cannon in the control room of the show. Monitors surround him and each shows something different. One shows security, another shows a brief case with The Masked Singer logo on it. Then there are others that could be hints for what’s coming in the new season.
On one screen, we see a hamster running on a wheel. On another, we see a banana split with chocolate sauce poured on it. We also see cards being shuffled in the bottom right television, and we also see what fans think is a possible new costume. It looks sort of like a nutcracker, but fans in The Masked Singer’s Instagram comments think it could be a mallard.

“It’s the return of the global singing phenomenon,” Cannon says in the video. “Can you guess the celebrities behind the mask?”
This Upcoming Season’s Premiere Date Has Not Been Set
Although there is still a lot of missing information about this upcoming season, we do know that Cannon will be returning as the host. He’ll be back alongside the celebrity judge panel that includes, Jenny Mccarthy, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, and Nicole Scherzinger.
The Masked Singer is currently filming in Hollywood, CA with both live and virtual audiences. Hopefully as they wrap up filming, we’ll have more information (and sneak peeks!) on the season as whole.
It has been confirmed that the series will be returning to its normal spot on FOX at 8 p.m. on Wednesdays in the fall. But, a premiere date has yet to be announced. We cannot wait to see what The Masked Singer has planned for this upcoming season!
